Simple States includes six mini games that help students learn the U.S. states and capitals and other geo facts while having fun. An interactive study area makes learning state names, capitals, nicknames, flowers, trees, and birds a breeze. Simple States can even pronounce state names in American English. The “Smart Mode” feature intuitively monitors the student’s progress and automatically adjusts game play according to each student’s proficiency. As students demonstrate knowledge of particular states and capitals, Simple States modifies itself to present fewer questions relating to the learned material and more questions about material yet to be learned. This feature decreases player frustration and uses a proven scaffolding approach to learning; enabling students to learn at their own pace and retain newly acquired knowledge.
